Power Plant Mall

One of my visits to Philippines is the City of Makati (Mahalin Natin Atin Ito!) This is where my father and relatives lives. I used to live here before relocating to South Africa. Power Plant is an elegant fashionable mall at Rockwell Center just ten minute drives from my place near City Hall of Makati. My cousin enjoyed picture taking around the place inside and out. You will see high rise building that surrounds the mall. Not only good for residents and tourist but most likely to celebrities prefer to hang around the mall. It was reasonable to look around since my cousin is working in the “Full Booked” bookstore. I also meet my friend who comes down for Christmas holiday from Singapore.

SM Mall Of Asia

Largest Mall in Asian Country was built year 2006 and is situated along Roxas Blvd Manila. The time I left Philippines for South Africa it was an undergoing process. I believe that was an empty lot extension of Manila Bay. People were in doubt the empty lot could not support such a huge Mall since below its structure where the sea level lies. Some says it is an earthquake target because the foundation was not strong enough. Others see it as an opportunity for the economy and employment. At the end of all it will bring pleasure and leisure to the residents and tourists. Most people go to the mall as part of their lifestyle. Reasons are weather to hang around with friends and family, shopping that’s for sure, arcades, shows, entertainment, conferences (yes they provide room or hall for conferences) and a lot more.

When I get the chance to go for a long holiday to Philippines (November to January 2009), SM Mall of Asia was one of the list I am looking forward to visit. Together with my sister and her husband after church we went right away to the mall, watch movie and had our supper. I did enjoy my visit in the mall also unexpectedly in the same restaurant we personally meet the Mayor of Manila Isko Moreno, also a well known celebrity.
